How you made them feel ...
Maya Angelou got it right ... “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
Maybe just like me this is a lesson that came to Lady Maya later in her life but I hope that by sharing this bit of wisdom with you NOW, it might save you time and help you build stronger relationships as of today and always.
So go on and be quiet then observe and listen to those around you. Whether they are chatting with you in person, posting on Facebook or sending you a text. In return offer kind words and gestures. Do not quickly jump in with words that perpetuate grief, negativity & pity in hopes to turn the attention from them to you. Go out there with a servant's heart and help someone feel better, loved, cherished, appreciated, welcomed, understood, inspired ... be good to someone. Be the type of person that Maya talks of ... be remembered for how you made them {feel}!

An ATTA girl moment
We are all familiar with the "atta boys" but what about an "atta girl"? No. Well now you will be ... Tabby's version of an ATTA GIRL.
We work our butts off being a:
Mama
Wife of that man in the house
Lover
Companion of games
Provider of meals
Spiritual leader
Professional clothes cleaner
Maid
Pet alpha
Missing sock detective
Problem solver
Healer of runny noses and boo boo's
Royal title of payer of bills
To name a few ........
And that is just being a mom and a wife. Nevermind if you work outside of the home or even if you are crazy enough (like me) to ALSO try to start your own business. (insert that shocked emoji)
So with all of these demands on us it so easy to lose track of well ... US!! So here is what I teach every gal in my accountability support group.
ONCE A WEEK, SCHEDULE AN ATTA GIRL. Yes. I say schedule to make sure you find the time for it.
Definiton of an ATTA GIRL:
A moment for a woman to do something that is just for her and no one else.
Examples of an ATTA GIRL:
* A mani or pedi or both!
* A glass of your favorite wine while reading a book
* Meditation
* A walk in the beach or park
* Buying a new blouse
* A dinner with your BFF
* Gifting yourself a bouquet of flowers
Do something small (or big if you can afford it) that makes your heart happy and gives your soul a lift. You need it. In those moments you will find you and be that gal that is YOU and not what someone else expects you to be. So enjoy along with me and my accountability group gals that ATTA GIRL moment. Share with me what are you planning to do. I might wanna do it too.

Sunday FUNday ... planning for the week ahead.
Weren't the word creating people clever when they made the word PLANNING out of PLAN? Because the thing about planning is that you have to actually PLAN!
Oooh. Did I just hit a nerve? For some probably. I am an accountability coach (at times more like drill instructor ... the caring kind) and the fabulous women entrepreneurs in my accountability support group know that today (SUNDAY) is the day to sit and plan the week ahead.
Let me illustrate ... you will be driving across country. You can do it either two ways:
1 - NO PLANNING.
You just get in your car and drive. And the next day remembered you had an appointment with a client. Wups. Lost that client. You didn't check the car's maintenance status so along the way you broke down. You didn't know what roads to take so you were heading more north than west so making it across country was comprised of lots of u-turns, wrong roads & lost time. No panties because you forgot to pack 1/2 the stuff you really needed but you have 12 pairs of socks and 3 spools of floss though! Sleeping in your car with no shower because you could not find a hotel with a vacancy because you didn't make a reservation ahead of time. Dramatic no? But you get the picture.

2 - YES PLANNING.
Prior to taking off on your cross-country trip that started on the 15th because that was the day you cleared your calendar to be free of commitments to enjoy the ride. You called AAA and mapped out a ride. So you knew exactly what I road connected to what state road. You even figured a few spots along the way on your bucket list to see. You had figured out about what time you would get to what town and found the cutest B&Bs to spend the night. The car gave you no problems because it was in tip top shape because you took it in to the shop before you left. And you had plenty of clean panties because you packed all you needed. {sigh} What a freaking fabulous trip!
So which of these two trips would you rather go on?? #2? Oh yesssssss. ♡ smart girl ♡ But did you know that your every day journey also needs PLANNING like our cross country imaginary trip so that it can go as best as you can control (key words there *can control* because sometimes "it" just happens) and to make sure you are indeed going in the right direction for your life? The best habit that I learned was to take time out on Sunday and plan my week ahead. That was over 20 years ago when I went to a Franklin Covey 7 Habits class. Oh yeah ... I was only 2 then but I was an ambitious toddler. Hahaha.
Seriously. Take the time on Sunday (15-30 minutes y'all that is it) to plan the week ahead so that you can head in the right direction on your journey of life. It is so easy to wing it but you could be wasting precious time and not really enjoy that ride to the fullest.
